These boots were made for walking…
First spied on the feet of models at the GILES A/W 14 London Fashion Week show, it’s time to get to know two styles from the designer’s shoe collaboration with Grenson.
Meet Emma, a brogue boot with a black and white patent leather upper featuring medallion detailing and micro wedge sole. And Lucy, a toecap oxford, again made from monochrome patent leather with a micro wedge sole. Both styles will be sold exclusively by Grenson from September.
“I wanted chic, masculine, modern shoes for my A/W 14 collection. Grenson have been producing this look for sometime now and they were the perfect partner,” says Deacon of the collaboration with the English heritage brand, which has been in the business of making handcrafted, sturdy footwear since 1866.
“I have long admired Giles’ work, so the chance to work together was exciting,” chimes Tim Little, creative director and owner of Grenson. “He took some of our styles and put his personal touch to them. What a lovely way to create shoes.”
