GILES designs a festive jumper for Save the Children

GILES has teamed up with Save the Children for this year’s Fashion Saves Lives Christmas campaign. He joins a stellar line up of British designers who have each created a seasonal cashmere jumper with their choice of model muse. Deacon picked long-time friend Erin O’Connor, who is also a Save the Children ambassador.

“I loved working with Giles. For our jumper we took inspiration from his A/W 15 collection so there are some cool gothic undertones going on yet it still encompasses the spirit of Christmas. It’s quite romantic in a way,” says O’Connor of the ladylike red jumper featuring black ribbon frills on the collar and cuffs.

The duo join Bella Freud and Kate Moss, Christopher Kane and Poppy Delevingne, Charlotte Olympia and Karen Elson and Henry Holland and Dree Hemmingway in the charity shoot.

The five designs will be available to purchase exclusively at Matches from Wednesday 4 November, priced at £365 each. All profits raised will be donated to Save the Children to fund the charity’s work helping the world’s most vulnerable children.
